Al Masmak Fortress
Dating back to the 19th century, this ancient fortress is one of the most famous places in Riyadh for being a heritage site that showcases Saudi’s history through its clay and mudbrick architecture.
It showcases a historical moment in the Kingdom’s founding history with a spear in one of the gates, still nestled in deep, marking the regaining of Riyadh back in 1902. You’ll also come across many records and displays along the corridors.
